Mind UK has been the chosen charity for Matthew’s Preserved since March 2020.
Why Mind UK?
The owner Matthew has been suffering mental health issues for most of his life. During 2018, he suffered a mental breakdown ending his work as an environmental manager and leaving him with no future (our story).
Matthew decided to align the business with Mind UK after the first year in business. The charity provide the advice and support to those suffering from mental health problems. They campaign to raise awareness, promote understanding and improve services. Therefore, it was the perfect charity to get involved with given Matthew’s struggles and set everything up to start March 2020.
As we all know, March 2020 was the start of the COVID pandemic lockdown within the UK. This didn’t stop the business though. Matthew was lucky enough to have the full support of his wife and was able to keep everything going throughout the last two years.
It was also important to get the message out about the alignment. Matthew’s Preserved wishes to thank their graphic designer Meg, for coming up with the strapline ‘Preserving Fruit and Minds’. The artwork for the rebrand was amazing and the strapline brought it all together.
The business donates 10p per sale of every jar to Mind UK, be that from wholesale, markets or throughout the website. Over the past one and a half years, Matthew’s Preserved have raised £548.45 to date.
Therefore, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.
